Reviews for Grand Hotel de la Minerve
We stayed at the Minerve for six days last week and are still telling everyone about it.From arrival to departure we were treated like friendly Royalty by every single member of their superb staff. I have been following reviews on this site ever since I booked our stay back in January, and after our experience I can only say how sorry we are that there are such bitter people out there who would criticise anything. Reception staff have the widest smiles in Rome and Marco-the concierge-knows EVERYTHING! The food was to die for with immaculate surroundings and service. Drinks a bit expensive, but where else can you look out over the roofs of Rome while drinking? Room immaculate with every facility. Doormen and doorstaff wonderfully helpful and so friendly. Perfect location and perfect hotel. Saving up to go back!

We have stayed at this Grand Hotel on several occasions in the past year and have never be disappointed. From the doormen, front desk, restaurant, bar staff and housekeeping it was delight to be always greeted and attended to with such kindness and courtesy. The roof deck is well worth a visit on a pleasant evening and the restaurant is a delightful setting for a special dinner. Our sincere thanks to Marco and Stephen for always making us feel so very welcome.

We had only 2 days to explore Rome before heading home. Hotel de la Minerva is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. We enjoy walking and we were able to walk everywhere from this hotel. The staff was welcoming and the concierge was very helpful! Our room was very large ( deluxe room) which overlooked the square and the Pantheon. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious--better than many American hotels. The rooftop bar was beautiful and we enjoyed having a glass of wine and taking in the sites of the city at night. The service was a bit slow-- but we were in no rush-- so it didn't matter! Definitely will stay here again when we return!

The hotel is very confortable and well located. But the highlight is the attention. The friendliness of the receptionists, the concierge, and the general manager. I left my passport in the safe and Maddalena swiftly went for it and put it in the safe´s hotel. I am very grateful to all the staff and will never forget them.

Have been a regular visitor to the rooftop over the years. Was so disappointed on the last visit. The food is way over priced, service is poor and the food was simply not nice. The Maitre de (English/Italian) is rude, doesn't understand what the dishes are and gives very poor explanations that result in you eating something you would never have ordered. For the price, ( very expensive for the standard of the food) there are lots of better options. So disappointed as we stopped by Rome especially as the food here has always been a global standout. All 4 of us thought the service was bad, the food was expensive and other than the salted fish, we all would have preferred something else. The setting remains beautiful and the bar is a gorgeous place for a drink regardless.
